James
“Jim” Edward Hunt, Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather,
brother and friend to all he met, was called home to be with the Lord on
February 1, 2009 at the age of 70. Jim
was born in Tuscaloosa and graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School. He attended the University of Alabama and loved
the Crimson Tide which he followed with a passion. “Roll Tide Roll!” He served in the United States Air Force
and was stationed at Karamursel
AB, Turkey
and Kelly AFB, TX where he met his wife of 44 years. After leaving the Air Force he worked in
insurance sales. He joined Block
Distributing Company in 1979 where he was leading salesman for many of his 23
years there. He was currently working
as a marshall/starter at Fair Oaks Ranch Golf
Club. Jim never met a stranger. His outgoing personality touched all who
knew him, and he will be greatly missed.
He
was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church where he served as
mass coordinator, member of ACTS and very recently member of the Knights of
Columbus.
