BOB LUDWICK

A Karamürsel Survivor

                       A SHORT BIO

.  I arrived at Karamursel in May 1960 but remained there approximately 1month.  I was asked if I would take another assignment to AFSSO Det 50 at Incerlik AB.  I accepted.  While at Karamursel I did start working as a 702 in the Vault.  This time period was at the end of my first four years of service and my beginning with USAFSS.

After completing my tour at Incerlik, I was assigned to the Hill at Kelly and from there a 2.5 yr tour at Bremerhaven, back to Kelly, back to Turkey at Trabzon, then a consec to San Vito AS, Italy for 5 years.  Then it was back to the Air Force at  Wright/Patterson for my last couple of years.  Would have preferred to be back with USAFSS.  You guessed it, I was a lifer.

I have been tracing my family ties for over 10 years.  Never dreamed I would learn so much and find so many family members.  My data base is just under 10,000 individuals.  I am using the PAF software put out by the Latter Day Saints.

Do remember celebrating my 21st birthday behind a Quonset on a bright sunny day in June.  Hard to believe it has been forty years since we arrived at Karamursel.
