I was at Karamursel from June 1959 to December 1960 on Able flight as a 292x1. Claude Proctor, a Russian Linguist, was a close friend and we stayed in touch over the years.

After Karamursel I went to HQ, USAFSS and worked in TranSec, Transmission Security. Very boring job. Later crossed trained into Manpower Management (industrial engineering) Later went into OSI as a Special Agent. Went back to Incirlik AB, Adana Turkey from March 1968 to May 1970. Finally completed degree requirements through Bootstrap and graduated from OTS in May 1972.

I stayed in OSI. Went back to Turkey to Sinop, Turkey in 1973-74 as Detachment Commander of OSI Det. on the Army's Intercept station there on the Black Sea. Was back to Sinop again 1976-1977. Then to Stuttgart, Germany as Detachment Commander from 1977-1981. Spent last year of active duty at McConnell AFB, KS and retired September, 1982.
