      I got to KAS in Nov 1960 after getting married on Oct 15th.  I lasted 8 months before I saved enough to get Jackie out there where we rented an apartment in Yalova.

 

            I was only an A2c when I got there and made A1c while there but had to extend my enlistment to go over four so the AF would ship her back (plus our new son).  Ended up re-enlisting and left KAS in May 1963 to go back to Intermediate Russian at Syracuse.

 

            We didn't get around much to know many folks outside the Charlie Flight gang and those we met at the new Airmen's club.  Kinda wish we had met more of you guys (Navy & Marines).  One of my roommates before my wife got there (John Dittmer) played drums for a band at the Navy club off site (Opposite direction from Yalova).  Don't remember the name of the club.
