A SHORT BIO

I arrived at Tuslog Det 3 in May 1960 and departed in December 1961.  I worked in the
Personnel Department.  I handled promotions, discharges, reassignment to special schools etc.  I also developed a map of the Base that was used for incoming people to get around to the Library, Laundry, Special Services etc.

During my stay there was 2 other guys from my hometown of Madison, IN.  Their names was Bob Smith and Ken Kessler.  I am not sure if this Bob Smith is the same Bob "Smitty" Smith that I have read about in some of the mail I read about the radio station KTUS.

At this time I cannot commit to the reunion for this year.  I should be able to give you a firm answer sometime in August.  I believe it would be great fun to swap stories with others.

There was 3 people on the base with the name of Robert Thomas at the same time.  I am coping this to Ted Kemp, who lives 25 miles from me and was also there and has made contact with me via telephone.  I am not sure if we know each other, but this should help him know which of the 3
I am.

I remember a Darrell (Daryl) F. Benjamin for Fort Madison, Iowa was there at the same time.  I will dig out my old files and pass on some other names and locations to you.

All for now,

Bob Thomas
