  A SHORT BIO

I'm hoping to retire in ten years - I messed around until my 40's so now I'm having to make up for it.  I now teach History and  Asian Studies at San Diego State University.  I became kind of a Asian specialist and have spent half my post-Air Force life either traveling or working or living in Asia.  I've studied Chinese and Japanese and am now married to a lady from Burma.  I spent two full years at Karamursel, volunteering twice to extend for six months. Once I got away from ditty-bopping it wasn't so bad. After six months I was transferred to the Analysis section, strickly a day job.   Worked with a tech Sgt Crumby.  Then after another six months or so I was notified that I'd have to be going back to copying code.  Couldn't stand the idea and put in a requst to marry a "foreign national" (turkish girl I was dating).  I really had no intention of marrying, but knew that such a request would lose me my security clearance, which it did. So my last few months at Mudsite I worked as assistant to the principal of the base high school.
Returned to Calif for my last year in the AF at George AFB which is now closed. I worked
with the Air Rescue Service in a helicopter outfit as their administrative "gofer".  Then I started on my
education and eventually pulled down a PhD at the University of Arizona.  Traveled around, was married
here and there, and have been in San Diego for ten years.

That's it in a nut shell
